Ad Blasts partner information

Effective October 26, 2026

Newsletter placement disclosures

These terms supplement the existing Ad Blasts placement API for partner offers selected into NewsletterBlasts issues. They do not create a new advertising system or change the signed API contract.

Where partner offers can appear

Eligible partner placements may fill clearly labeled advertising spaces when a publisher chooses to replace existing ads or add Blasts picks. A newsletter can contain up to three inserted picks. An unlocked typed or AI summary can include one labeled partner offer when an eligible offer is available, whatever the issue’s ad choice. Publisher-authored advertising that the publisher chooses to keep is not represented as an Ad Blasts partner placement.

Publisher and reader data

Partners do not receive recipient identities or recipient-level targeting data. Selection happens on our servers, and reporting remains aggregate through the existing placement ledger. Do not attempt to identify readers or merge aggregate reports with outside datasets for that purpose.

Server AI and OpenAI

When a publisher requests AI ad processing or an AI summary, OpenAI processes the publisher issue content needed for that request. This does not give the partner access to the publisher issue, the AI prompt or response, or reader information. Partner creative remains subject to the existing family-safe and content checks.

Measurement and billing

For newsletter placements, measurement is send-only: partner placement sends are recorded in the Ad Blasts ledger, and newsletter views and clicks are not measured. Sends, caps, and billing continue to use the existing post-paid partner agreement. Newsletter publishers separately pay Blasts Credits for member delivery. Where offered, a reader pays 20 Blasts Credits to open a typed or AI summary; the publisher is not charged for summaries. Advertiser debit, Blasts Credits, and SavingsSites Deal Credits are distinct and are not interchangeable.

Creative, links, and privacy

Partners must have authority for submitted creative and destinations, use HTTPS, and follow applicable advertising, privacy, and consumer-protection requirements. Partner pages must not present a labeled newsletter placement as publisher editorial content. Safety, availability, and size controls can refuse a placement or leave a space unfilled.
